.....A "Bug's life is a parody of human society experienced by the enjoyable viewing of an animated film. One ant found bugs to help the colony fight the grasshoppers because they felt incapable of defeating the grasshoppers themselves. The grasshoppers already were aware that the ants were capable of throwing them out, but they worked very hard to keep the ants subservient.

1. Observe the color palette and lines of this film to contrast the colors, shapes and texture of the "good" characters from the "bad".

2. Take two characters and describe how the colors, shapes , lines and background define them.

3. Contemplate the relationships of the characters in the film to relationships of the people that you encounter and describe the character most like you or someone you know.
