REPORTING  STUDENT  PROGRESS  IN  DANCE

 

The following report formats were designed to report out on the dance student's and the dance classes level of achievement in analyzing and evaluating the use of traditional and contemporary technologies for producing and performing a dance piece.  The report enables students and parents to recognize the individual and class levels of achievement in terms of the specific standards-based criteria assessed. The unit report conveys information on the unit design of a dance combination using the Life Forms software program. The unit task also requires the student to apply this computer generated dance to a live dancer, incorporating the components of energy/force, space (shape) and time. Understanding and application of dance technique and qualities were also assessed.
