document was produced by a community of practicing
teachers convened at the 2000 Pennsylvania Governor's
Institute for Arts Educators. It presents an approach
to the Pennsylvania Proposed Academic Standards for
the Arts and Humanities, section 9.1 j/k. The Assessment Scoring Guide that follows allows educators, administrators, parents and students to identify the statewide criteria by which student production, performance and exhibition will be evaluated. This Scoring Guide presents a model rubric which classroom teachers can use to assess curriculum. It can be used to evaluate student production, performance and exhibition in the arts and humanities in three areas:
