the efforts of Community of learners 2 of the
2001 Governor's Institute for Arts Educators. The
thrust of this community is twofold. One is to
create a community web page idea bank of
strategies for addressing historical and cultural
contexts in a content area's curriculum. The
other is to create and publish a collection of
planned instruction examples designed by the
