The song ‘Drive a Person Crazy’ from the musical Company was performed with four actors, one only appearing for a couple seconds leaving three girls and a couple of chairs on stage. I used words from the song to create a typography. I got images of three women, created silhouettes of them and then filled the silhouettes with words. The “doo-do-do-doo” repeated in the chorus and became a line I could hear all the time. A key reason why I had one person completely filled with that. I chose black and white because they stood out from the colorful lighting of the song. I wanted the image to almost dissolve into the background and have the bright pink lights highlight the girls in the front. I believe I accomplished this. If given the option I would not change the background because I believe that it completed the composition and highlighted the stars of the show.
