Abba

He sees the tears rolling down my face

And wraps His loving arms around me.

He watches the greatest day of my life unfold

And shares in every moment of my joy.

He knows when I can no longer move on

And picks me up to carry me the rest of the way.

He senses the loneliness in my heart

And stretches out His hand.

He understands when I come to Him ashamed

And gives me the strength to carry on.

He never tires when I ramble on and on-

His heart is filled with compassion

He listens when I yell at Him and ignore Him-

And even if I forget about Him

He will never forget about me.

I already said all this, but I'm really proud of you for writing this. It's really hard to write about God especially when He's the most important thing in your life. You started each line with the same two words yet you avoided sounding repetitive. You really captured the way God is viewed by a lot of Christians, so excellent job. Your so hot! (I just did that to make Mr. Caruso mad)

Wow Erin... awesome poem, but you don't really need me to tell you that.  I loved how the poem progressed from line to line: "He sees" to "He watches" to "He knows" and so forth.  The lines flow together, but make their own point at the same time.

While you read your poem aloud, I realized that it fits who you are as a person.  It not only shows what you believe, but also the kind of person you hope to continue to be in the future.  It's strange, how much you can tell from one poem, but it's the truth.  And I know I told you this already, but I can totally see this poem on a prayer-card. :)

I like this poem becuase it is so personal to you, but the reader can apply it to anyoune like this in their life. Im so glad that God has this impact on your life and you have such firm beliefs because so many people are not sure of what they really believe in.
