The photomontage that really caught my eye and interested me was the one I found in the Spring 2007 collection, titled, Mapel.jpg. I absolutely love the way that the artist made this montage so different and abstract, instead of just a bunch of pictures jumbled together. I also am attracted to the piece because it looks like a colorful, fantasy world, espcially because of the moving bit of land. The little fairy-like creature on the left side and the boy on the other must symbolise some kind of opposite because on side is in the day time while the other is at night, although they're still technically joined in the middle. This was defintely one of the favorites I found while looking from the North Allegheny website and Yo Soy. I can't wait to start a montage of my own. Natalie Colburn Period 4
