Cultural Identity

I am a first-generation immigrant: my father is from Eritrea and my mother is from Egypt. Bot are countries with rich heritages. Though I live here in America, I remain in touch with my ethnic background. For my montage, I'd like to incorporate images from both cultures, meeting to join into me. Another possible idea would be that they swirl around inside me, forming my innards. Pharaonic images are recognizable all throughout the world; Habesha are not so recognizable. If I cannot find Habesha images, I may use more recent cultureal phenomena.
