Notes: This was my first attempt with garage band. I wanted to focus on a really catchy melody, and that just happened to be an eastern european folk melody. I wanted to give it a trans-siberian orchestra feel so i added very modern percussion. The piece has mysterious sections as well as very bubbly sections. I used interesting instrumentation as well as some 6/8 measures.
Notes: I chose to do a Native American medley for this composition. I really wanted to capture the diverse feelings created by Native American music while keeping its inherent simplicity. This song contains a rain dance, work song, war dance, and spirit song. Big thanks to Dave and Peter for their help on the vocals!
