Notes: The requirements of this composition were to choose a piece of visual artwork and write a piece that reflects the artwork. I chose the painting "Dream Caused by the Flight of a Bee Around a Pomegranate" by Salvador Dali. Unfortunately the image might be a little inappropriate for me to submit on a school site but before listening to this piece YOU MUST look up a copy of the painting. Google Image search it or whatever, NOTHING WILL MAKE SENSE IF YOU DON'T. It's that weird.
Alright so this piece is definitely the most abstract I've ever done. I used Reason and took advantage of the crazy sounds in there to create the imagery i needed. I usually compose on the guitar and either record at home or in Garage Band or play the notes into Finale but this piece was extremely different for me, in a good way. Hope you like it
