Our Philosophy:
We believe that to unify all of the Fine Arts, performing, visual and literary, into one body will strengthen art as a whole. Art encompasses two things.
(1) the process of producing creative works and (2) the entire body of work in the art forms that make up the entire human intellectual and cultural heritage.
When we study art we involve ourselves in a particular set of processes, products, influences and meanings. We recognize that art is expressed in various styles and reflects different historical circumstances while drawing on a multitude of social and cultural resources. Together the fine arts create a means for student expression, creativity and cultural recognition.
Those involved not only gain basic competence, they gain self-awareness and understanding. By providing support we ensure the future of arts education and the very existence of fine arts in our community.
